Empowering artists to build strength, prevent injury, fuel themselves for performance and create longevity.

FORCE PERFORMANCE

WHAT DO WE DO?

Dancer lifting weights

The dance industry faces a significant challenge when it comes to dancers' physical well-being and performance sustainability. Insufficient nutrition, a demanding physical workload, and inadequate strength conditioning often leads to injuries, hindering both the dancers' careers, and quality of performance.

Force Performance provides a solution to this challenge through dance specific strength, conditioning and nutrition coaching. Despite the essential role of strength and conditioning coaches for professional athletes, the dance industry lacks similar resources to support dancers in their physical development and injury prevention. Our services aim to enhance performance, prevent injuries, promote the overall well-being of dancers and provide longevity in their careers.

Take control of your body, build foundational strength and learn how to fuel yourself for dance. Whether you study full-time dance or you’re a professional, Force Performance has your nutrition and training needs covered.

Mollie Zacharchuk
Founder

Mollie Zacharchuk, based in Melbourne, Australia is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist. She grew up dancing from the age of 3, and throughout high school, was involved in various high school productions forming her love for music theatre. Later in high school she continued to land lead roles such as Elle in “Legally Blonde” and decided to pursue a music theatre career, moving to Patrick School of the Arts full-time Academy. After finishing school, she began a Music Theatre course at ShowFit in Melbourne, however, when Covid hit, her life flipped upside down and she put her full-time training on hold. Struggling with an eating disorder, Mollie spent most of her time in covid lockdowns recovering. From previously over-exercising and restricting her calories throughout her dance years, she began studying her Certificate 3&4 in Fitness in 2020, where she found a love for strength training. She quickly highlighted the lack of nutrition and strength education within the dance industry which ultimately results in the many injuries, negative health problems, fatigue and burn out dancers face. Although not pursuing a career in Music Theatre, Mollie started working in the industry as a strength coach and nutritionist in 2021 and in 2023, launched Force Performance. Her mission is to provide performers with the education around nutrition and strength training to create longevity in their careers. She has worked with professional dancers in “Wicked” and “Frozen”, as well as students from reputable schools such as Patrick School of the Arts, Transit Dance, Ministry of Dance, Spectrum Dance, Centerstage Performing Arts School and the National Theatre Company. Mollie’s first hand experience in the industry allows her to understand the unique demands and challenges faced by dancers. Her mission is to highlight the pressing need for specialised coaches who can work closely with dancers to provide the necessary education and guidance to strengthen their bodies, optimise their nutritional intake and ultimately provide longevity in their careers.

“I wish I had the tools and education that I have now when I was performing. Strength training along with appropriate sports nutrition, is the cornerstone of injury prevention and longevity in the industry.” - Mollie

TESTIMONIALS

Indi Stubbings - Full Time Dance

"As a full-time dancer my body is always under constant stress and pressure to perform at its best. Before starting with Force Performance I have always woken up sore during the week and struggled to get through the day without feeling tired or lacking energy. I'm now in my 4th week of being coached under Mollie and the difference in how I feel is INSANE. I never thought I would feel like this so quickly. I have been sleeping so much better, I am rarely sore anymore and if I am the recovery time is twice as fast as it was before. The best part is that my energy levels have increased a huge amount. I never feel like I have no energy as I am being educated on what foods to eat to give me that boost and sustainable energy. The fact that I am only in week 4 and I already feel like this makes me so excited for the long hall. My only regret was that I didn’t reach out sooner!!! So grateful for Mollie's guidance as my coach.”

Amy Hopwood - Frozen, Beauty And The Beast

“Before training with Mollie I didn’t have confidence in the gym. I didn’t trust that a personal trainer was going to understand my job as full time performer or the requirements I need to be in peak shape for stage. My priorities don’t lie in the gym and most personal trainers don’t understand that I needed to be strong in different ways to most girls and I wasn’t training for visual aesthetic either. With Mollie’s experience in dancing and her knowledge of the performing industry I was able to have open conversations about the requirements of my show and create a program that supported my job on stage making me feel strong, show-fit and mobile. I highly recommend Mollie to any performer who is sick of trainers thinking that dancing is all cardio and zero strength.”

Ellie Glick - Full Time Dance

"Force Performance has completely transformed my life in the best way possible. Thanks to Mollie my mindset has never been better, I am feeling so strong and confident in the gym and most importantly I am fuelling and nourishing my body properly because of all the knowledge she has given me. Mollie creates the most positive and motivating environment to work in and I couldn’t recommend her more. Her knowledge and dedication has completely transformed me as a performer. I have become a stronger, injury free dancer and my mindset has completely changed through the help of Mollie. I am now sleeping and eating enough to support my active lifestyle and I wouldn’t be where I am now without her support.”
